I don't prefer it, but I think the bad reputation CGI seems to have earned itself is way overblown and outdated. Yes there definitely was some bad CGI in the early days, but over time it's earned its place alongside traditional animation with excellent works like the Spiderverse movies, Arcane, Nimona and many others.
