There was a time in my life where I tried treating my acidic reflux problems by just taking alkaline stomach tablet. Let me tell you, there is a reason they say not to use them regularly. I only realized how much worse it got when I stopped taking them at all, they weren't only making the reflux worse by being taken regularly, I was also losing insane amounts of vitamins, things like iron and folic acid, the things you need to keep your nerve sheaths intact. Basically got really confused and jittery for a while until I realized I should probably stop taking those.
