I remember my first bubble tea that I had when I was visiting Greenwich (UK) when the craze first swept over Europe. It was so utterly disgusting. I was there with a colleague of mine that chose a different flavour, but his also tasted like sewage. I don't know how they fucked up something as simple as a bubble tea, but I think it was their pearls. Either that or their milk was bad. Anyway, I took like 4 sips, gagged a bunch and then poured the rest away and trashed the thing, I could taste it years after still. Thought all bubble tea was like that for years until I had some here that was normal, way after the craze died down. Nowadays I enjoy it occasionally.
