i feel like there is a lot of ways art can benefit society as there is art therapy and different ways to express your feelings from doing art. i feel like only art propaganda hurts society.

Art is what keeps society moving. It can, however, hurt society if it's consumed by people that aren't meant to see it, AKA people who are very sensitive to graphical content, for example.

How it benefits or hurts society depends on the context. Art can provide an insight into many different worlds and cultures and inspire people to create and better themselves.
